Alexx Simone Johnson is a writer/director whose work discovers comedy, through its nooks and crannies, as indispensable to honesty. Their imaginative tack frequents a socially activated lens, engaged to explore how people build defensive identities, entangle the self within the persona, and relate to community.

Beyond their film works, Alexx writes Scribbled Loose, a newsletter built around reflective inquiry into creative cognition and cultural meaning-making.
